Today I was in the grocery store and there was a parent with children in which she was yelling at the top of her lungs to get her children to stop picking up stuff in the store. I can tell she felt embarrass, I could also tell it was something she regularly does to get her kids to stop what they are doing. I am not one to judge a parent ever as we are all learning and growing. However, there are ways to get your child to listen without you looking like a crazy parent.
When I was a child, my parents would give me a look and I would stop in my tracks. I personally use warnings and have since my child started walking. I will give multiple looks in a stern voice and also say if you do not listen you will not play with or get that special snack you want. In some way, I have made it where my child does not want to disappoint me.
Children will be children, how do you get your children to listen to you? Do you handle the same at home as you do in public? #ChildrenBehavior #POTRhealth #ParentOnTheRun
